TRAVEL TIME
Travel is permitted one-half hour before Sunrise to one-half hour after Sunset. The movement vehicles and\or loads exceeding the following dimensions will be restricted as indicated: Width - 10' Height - 14' Length - 92'. No travel Monday thru Friday 6:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. 6:00 a.m.
A. South of Perry exit #360 Box Elder County
B. All of Weber, Davis, and Salt Lake Counties
C. North of the 1-15 an SR-75 interchange, exit 265 & SR-68, mile post 16 in Utah County.
Travel will be limited to daylight hours on Saturday and Sunday, except where determined by UDOT to be in the best interest of safety and convenience to the public. On the following seven major holidays: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Pioneer Day (July 24), Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day, no travel is permitted. From 2:00 p.m. Thursday to daylight Monday when the holiday is observed on a Friday, or from 2:00 p.m. Friday to daylight Tuesday when the holiday is observed on a Monday for those holidays listed. From 2:00 p.m. on the day before a holiday to daylight of the day after a holiday when the holiday is other than a "long Holiday". EXCEPTION - vehicle hauling divisible loads are not restricted and may travel over holidays and holiday weekends, and during curfew periods. Movements shall be prohibited by the Dept. Utah Highway Patrol during days of anticipated high traffic volumes such as those that occur during Hunting season (Saturday closest to the 20th of October). Permitted vehicles may be operated during adverse weather conditions, as described in Sec. 392.14 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations. Extreme caution in the operation of a motor vehicle shall be exercised when hazardous conditions such as those caused by strong wind, snow, ice, sleet. fog, mist, rain, dust or smoke prevail. Speed shall be reduced in such conditions to minimize the hazards from reduced visibility and/or traction.
If conditions become sufficiently dangerous, the operation of the vehicle shall be discontinued and shall not be resumed until the vehicle can be safely operated.
